Calories in does not equal calories out

Quality over quantity, you have heard this saying 100 times, but it is so important to remember as it can be used for a myriad of things. It’s time to loose this idea that calories matter and that if we eat too much of something we can just go “burn it off.” Unfortunately or fortunately this is not the case. The quality of your food is what is important! Take an avocado for example, it is quite calorie dense with 80 kcal per 1/4 of a medium one however the nutritional benefits that come with it far outweigh the calories.
